Don Cherry is a clown and an idiot
I just watched HNIC, (tho I don’t know why I bother) and I saw Don Cherry’s take on Koci’s hit on Mike Green. So evidently it was Green’s fault for facing the boards. The other guy, the ass-hat that sits next to him, was like “I thought Koci should have got a suspension for the hit, but when you explain it that way, it was Green’s fault.”
I was looking around; he is evidently listed as one of Canada’s greatest 10 people.
Pitiful.

I met Don Cherry Game 4 of the Stanley cup finals here in DC back in 98. I got a picture with that tool. He is as arrogant as they come and I am not so sure many Canadians even like him.
I think half of what he says is to get press. He trashes Ovie every chance but Ovie usually fires back like one time where he wore a hockey night in canada t-shirt at practice the next day. Like, jokes on you Cherry.
The Green hit should have gotten a suspension. Elbow to the head and feet leaving the ice isn’t suspension? I think it’s funny in a bad way that a guy can do something like that and get booted from the game for it yet it, takes the league like 4 days to come up with a fine. Shows you how bad the system to penalize is as well as the front office doesn’t even know what is suspendable. I think Boudreau’s comments about the guy averaging 3 minutes a game and one goal in like 3 years was really him saying, it wasn’t an accident, you can’t say this guy is upstanding guy that made a mistake. I mean if it was say a well known player who has been in the league for 3 years scoring occasionally and clocking 10 minutes a game, then maybe it wasn’t intentional but this guy’s purpose on the ice is to injury.

LOL didn’t see you’d commented here at first. That is pretty funny that you met that bungholio, I did not know that.
I also forgot about ovie wearing the HNIC shirt… now that I think on it I think he had a hat on once too. yea, that’s funny as hell.
Good points on Koci…. yea I was as perplexed as you and many other Caps fans (I gather.) Oh well. I guess it’s part of the strong anti-Caps sentiment that I am detecting here and there amongst many canuks. (Broadcasters ans sportswriters anyway.) Well you know what, if the win the cup the joke will be on them and if not who cares what they think anyway.
