Nice to see team USA win World Jr hockey gold.
Better yet, it was real nice to see Caps prospect John Carlson net the OT winner. It was a sweet no look shot!

I enjoyed the heck out of that game. The best part for me was that a Caps offensive defenseman put in the game winner against a Canadian team. I shouted “That one’s for you Greener!” when that goal went home.
No offense to the canucks but I am hoping to see Team Canada (West) get snuffed by USA and (more likely) Russia.
I am picking up a very strong vibe that the canadians (in general) don’t care for the Caps one bit. This is the impression I get from reading potential award winner lists, power rankings, listening to NHL radio, an commentary between periods of any hockey game.
In one the ESPN douchebag said Crosby should get the MVP because he had been more consistently scoring than Ovie. I checked the player stats (on ESPN) and couldn’t help but notice Ovie was outscoring Cindy in all categories at the time of the article.
Jealous I suppose.

MVP voted by the press is worthless. What do they know. Pearson trophy is far and away the better one. That is voted on by the players. They know.
As for Crosby, meh. I could make a case that neither Crosby or Ovechkin are deserving at this point.
To me, it’s the player that dominants and without him, his team and the league is at a loss.
BTW, Crosby has played about 10 games more than ovie and they have the same stats…
