Ben storms out of the headquarters, feeling jilted because Reed wouldn't fill him in on the details of his latest experiment. Sue follows him to try and talk sense into him, but before she can, the Puppet Master manages to take mental control of Ben. Sue follows him right to the lair of the Puppet Master, where she is captured and the Puppet Master's step-daughter Alicia (who is smitten with the Thing) is forced to take her place. The Thing heads back to headquarters to attack Reed and Johnny, but Reed realizes he's being controlled, and tricks him into spilling the experiment onto himself. The formula turns him back into Ben Grimm for a short time, but it was enough to break the Puppet Master's hold on him. With these three reunited and upset about Sue's capture, can the fate of the Puppet Master really be in doubt?
