Eddie Brock is trying to put things back together with his wife Ann. Meanwhile, Peter picks up the only costume he has left, and old black one, and heads out in search of clues about Venom or M.J. Venom soon finds him, but the confrontation doesn't end in anything remotely like the usual manner.
